Faststream Recruitment is working exclusively with a leading ship management company to identify an experienced Vetting Superintendent to join their team based in Limassol.
In this role, you will be part of a well-established vetting team, supporting the safe and efficient operation of a modern tanker fleet. You will play a critical role in maintaining inspection readiness and ensuring compliance with international regulations, customer requirements, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the scheduling of vetting inspections by liaising closely with Masters, Superintendents, Fleet Managers, and key departments including QSHE, Crewing, and Operations.
- Manage the submission of inspection requests and maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout the process.
- Oversee the preparation and control of vetting responses and inspection reports.
- Handle vetting questionnaires and screening issues from customers and industry bodies.
- Ensure all data in vetting-related platforms (SIRE, CDI, Q88) is accurate and up to date.
- Support the continuous improvement of internal management systems and contribute to the development or revision of procedures.
- Maintain internal databases and generate vetting-related statistics and reports.
- Process invoices related to inspections in a timely manner.
- A degree in a relevant maritime field and/or minimum two years’ experience in a vetting or marine assurance role within a ship management or shipping company.
- Solid understanding of international maritime regulations, OCIMF SIRE, CDI, and tanker operations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
