Reporting to the Marine Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of our fleet in third-party audits and inspections such asSIRE, CDI, PSC, and Flag State. You'll work closely with clients, charterers, and internal fleet groups to ensure prompt vetting responses, accurate data management, and actionable reporting.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead the Vetting & Clearance team to ensure effective support for all inspection processes
Maintain high performance standards in SIRE, CDI, PSC, and Flag State inspections
Manage vessel screening requests for 3rd party clients, ensuring timely responses and invoicing
Upload and manage inspection responses in OCIMF and related databases
Produce and present weekly and monthly performance reports for clients and senior management
Engage with Oil Majors and Charterers to monitor and improve vessel acceptability
Maintain customer-specific crew experience matrices and vetting statistics
Support incident investigations and close-outs to mitigate commercial disruption
Assist in internal audits, including TMSA and ISM
Keep vetting, Q88, and OCIMF data current, accurate, and audit-ready
What You’ll Bring:
Chief Officer (Class II) Certificate of Competency
Degree in Nautical Science or equivalent professional qualification
Solid sea-going experience on tankers, chemical, or gas carriers
Proven experience in a Vetting Coordinator or Superintendent role within ship management
Strong working knowledge of OCIMF systems, vetting protocols, and regulatory frameworks
Confident communicator – able to engage with Oil Majors, clients, and internal stakeholders alike
Analytical mindset, capable of identifying risk trends and proposing solutions proactively
