This is a pivotal role focused on overseeing the vetting inspection process—ensuring vessels meet the highest industry standards and are fully prepared for SIRE and CDI inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse vetting reports (SIRE/CDI), identifying trends and areas for improvement
- Coordinate follow-up actions and ensure timely implementation of corrective measures
- Schedule and prepare vessels for upcoming vetting inspections
- Work closely with onboard teams to ensure vessels are fully compliant with OCIMF and client expectations
- Liaise with Oil Majors, inspectors, and internal stakeholders as required
- Maintain detailed records and reporting related to all vetting activities
- Support broader marine assurance efforts within the fleet team
- Must have the right to work in Europe
- Previous experience as a Master Mariner on Tankers or relevant shore-based vetting/marine assurance experience
- Strong working knowledge of SIRE/CDI processes and OCIMF standards
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple inspections
- Strong communication and coordination skills across departments and stakeholders
- Proficiency in relevant industry software and reporting tools
- Willingness to travel for vessel visits and inspections as needed
