About the Role
We are recruiting exclusively for a UK Supply Chain Professional for a well-established, highly reputable organisation within the safety and service solutions sector. This is a newly created position, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of UK supply chain operations, drive cost efficiencies, and shape the function from the ground up.

Working closely with the UK Service Director, you will play a critical role in optimising stock, logistics, procurement, supplier performance and cost control across multiple UK sites. If you’re someone who enjoys improving processes, negotiating strong contracts, and leading people through change, this is an excellent next step.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all supply chain and logistics operations meet the organisation’s goals.
  • Drive service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Launch a cost-down and sourcing optimisation programme.
  • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing, contracts, and operational spend.
  • Improve utilisation and efficiency across the UK fleet.
  • Use SAP and other systems to manage procurement, stock control, and logistics.
  • Oversee multi-site stock locations, ensuring availability and reducing waste.
  • Negotiate cost-effective agreements with key suppliers and carriers.
  • Support wider sourcing strategy and service improvement.
  • Promote and uphold QHSE standards, embedding a safety-first approach.
  • Ensure full compliance across all operations.
  • Shape how the team is structured as you settle into the role.
  • Use Excel, Word, Power BI and dashboards to analyse performance and costs.
  • Lead continuous improvement across the supply chain.
  • Operate with professionalism, integrity, responsibility, and a continuous improvement mindset.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in supply chain, Purchasing or Procurement management
  • Strong understanding of driver planning, fleet optimisation and logistics processes
  • Confident negotiator able to secure strong commercial contracts
  • Experience in cost control, sourcing improvements and operational efficiency
  • SAP experience preferred (or the ability to pick up quickly)
  • Power BI / Excel capability for analytics and reporting
  • Motivational leader who enjoys developing a team
  • Someone who wants to learn, grow and make the role their own
