Chartering Manager Opportunity

Location: Brazil 

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a globally expanding group specialising in global dry bulk shipping and industrial projects logistics. With a focus on innovation in renewable energy supply chains, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in the international dry bulk market.

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dry Bulk Chartering professional.  You will play a pivotal role in maximizing cargo and vessel earnings while expanding business footprints. This position offers a unique platform to leverage your market acumen, negotiation skills, and industry connections to drive profitability and build strategic alliances.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development:
As a professional ship broker, fix voyages and ensure profitability.
Proactively develop and expand networks with key players in the international dry bulk sector, including cargo owners and ship owners.

Voyage Planning & Chartering Solutions:
Design and propose competitive chartering solutions for full-ship cargoes, integrating market conditions, cargo specifications, and transportation requirements.

Contract Negotiation & Execution:
Lead the fixture process for TCT (Time Charter Trip) and TC (Time Charter) contracts, selecting optimal charter party forms.
Negotiate, review, and finalize agreements with counterparties, securing favorable terms to maximize interests.
Maintain thorough familiarity with voyage and time charter contracts.

Market Analysis & Strategy:
Conduct in-depth research on dry bulk market intelligence, including supply/demand dynamics, freight rate trends, and vessel segment performance.
Identify opportunities and risks to formulate data-driven strategies for vessel profitability.

Post-Fixture Support:
Collaborate with operations to monitor voyage execution.
Address disputes or events promptly, applying knowledge of shipping law and charter party clauses.


Key Qualifications

Deep expertise in the dry bulk market with 8+ years of relevant shipping experience (dry bulk preferred).
In-depth knowledge of market dynamics, macroeconomic factors, trade routes, cargo flows, and global broker networks.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and teamwork spirit.
Self-driven, results-oriented approach with high motivation, responsibility, and ability to act independently under pressure.
Good decision-making determination.
Fluent in English.
