Strategic Buyer

Faststream are working with an International Bulk Liquid business who both own and operated their own fleet as well as operator a number of Bulk Liquid Storage terminals globally. Our client is looking for a Strategic Buyer to join their US business based out of Houston to support some key investments to their Storage Terminal business over the next few years.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a senior level or manager level buyer and will come from a Civil Engineering or onshore Oil & Gas construction background. The successful candidate will be focused on the delivery of around $200m spend on the expansion of terminals in Houston and New Orleans. In addition you will also support the larger terminals business on other projects with values of $500,000 +

Key Responsibilities will include

Develop procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, and implement cost-saving measures in line with project timelines and budgetary constraints.
Manage the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring that all purchasing activities are conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Identify potential suppliers and manage relationships with existing suppliers, including conducting vendor evaluations, site audits and continuous improvement processes for suppliers.
Develop procurement strategies in close cooperation with the Global Procurement Manager that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Candidates will likely have a Degree in Business Administration of supply chain management and have prior experience in strategic sourcing within a Civil Engineering Construction field. You will be joining a globally recognized company within its field of expertise and offers the opportunity for further growth and to take on additional responsibility.
