Are you a hands-on Service Manager with a strong engineering background, looking to join a growing marine and industrial engineering business where you can make a real impact?

Faststream is partnering with an expanding engineering services provider to appoint a Service Manager to lead day-to-day service operations in Perth. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of service delivery, drive operational improvements, and support a business in growth mode.

Are you someone who can:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a service department, balancing safety, quality, cost, and delivery
  • Prepare accurate quotations for repair and maintenance work, including labour, parts, and subcontractors
  • Drive labour utilisation and planning, improving efficiency and controlling overtime
  • Provide technical support to engineers and customers
  • Lead daily engineer briefings and ensure teams are clear on job expectations
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement across service operations, processes, and systems
  • Support training and skills development within the team
  • Step in for the Operations Manager when required
Are you able to demonstrate:
  • A time-served engineering background with strong technical credibility
  • Experience in service management, maintenance management, or workshop leadership
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage margins
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence
