Are you an experienced marine professional with a passion for driving commercial growth? We are partnering with a leading global provider of safety and survival solutions to recruit a Sales Manager (Marine) who will play a key role in expanding market presence and strengthening customer relationships across the marine sector.

About the Role: As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving organic business growth by generating revenue from both new and existing customers. You will own and manage all direct sales channels within your assigned market and act as the voice of the customer, providing valuable insights to internal teams. This role requires a strong commercial mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the marine industry landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow revenue through proactive business development and account management across designated markets or customer portfolios.
  • Provide meaningful customer insights to internal Product teams to support solution development.
  • Engage assigned customers and prospects to promote and sell company solutions.
  • Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve revenue retention, growth, and new business targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision makers and influencers within customer organisations.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations tailored to customer needs and buying motivations.
  • Attend industry events to expand your professional network and gather market intelligence.
  • Configure suitable product and service offerings, including contractual terms, in collaboration with internal specialists.
  • Lead customer-focused initiatives within cross-functional teams, acting as a customer advocate.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master Mariner or Chief Engineer certification is advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years of marine sales experience or relevant industry experience.
  • Strong familiarity with the marine sector and established industry networks.
  • Experience in direct sales, technical product support, or solution-based selling.
  • Ability to interpret complex information and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to connect with diverse stakeholders.
  • Confident navigating complex organizational structures and processes.
  • Demonstrates integrity, authenticity, and the ability to build trust quickly.
