Due to continued growth, we are once again looking to recruit a Performance Analyst.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Silverstream Technologies, a market leading clean technology company standing at the forefront of ship efficiency solutions and maritime decarbonisation. Silverstream are dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology to reduce fuel burn and harmful emissions from oceangoing vessels. 

Reporting To: Head of Performance

Location: London / Southampton office, including Hybrid Working

The Performance Analyst will work as part of the existing team of analysts to develop a clear understanding of the means by which the Silverstream® System delivers savings. The Performance Analyst will work alongside the company’s AI specialist and Data Engineer with activities linked to analysing and processing data received from vessels to inform company stakeholders on historical, current and predicted technology performance.

Experience / Qualifications Required:


  • Higher Degree in naval architecture, engineering, mathematics, statistics or equivalent subject.
  • Ability to code in Python, MatLab, SQL or similar is essential.
  • A basic knowledge of ship resistance and propulsion is desirable.
  • A basic understanding of hydrodynamics and execution of experimental works relating thereto is desirable.
  • Previous experience of using data analysis within an engineering or business context.
  • Competent, hands-on computer skills.
  • Familiar with industry standard data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentational skills.
  • Work effectively in a team, understanding the strengths and weaknesses of others to help teamwork development.
  • Able to organize own project activities, work independently and apply quality standards effectively.
  • Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects to time and quality.
  • Strong desire to understands business objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and is accessible and approachable.
  • Willing to travel within base country and occasionally overseas.
  • Willing to board a vessel deployed with the Silverstream® System to conduct analysis.
  • Willing to learn and progress in engineering career. Desire to reach Chartered Status.

Interview Process:

Successful candidates will be taken through a 3 stage interview process with Silverstream:
  • 1st Stage Interview - Completed via Teams.
  • 2nd Stage Interview - Completed in person, their at their London HQ Office or Global Operations Centre in Southampton.
