The role of Marine Instructor is an exciting addition to the growing team at Clyde Training Solutions, this role will be responsible for delivery of emergency response-based training programs, aimed at the Offshore Oil & Gas, Maritime and Renewables Industries.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering industry approved courses (OPITO, STCW, GWO, & Bespoke events)
- Supervising delegates during open water Lifeboat & FRC courses
- Carrying out competency assessments
- Attending periodical operational meetings
- Managing weekly training schedule
- Maintaining and updating courses to meet approval standards
- Main focus on Marine based courses, with the expectation to support the demand of Survival based programs
Requirements:
- High level of competency in the safe operation and practical use of Lifeboats in the maritime and/or offshore industries
- High level of competency in the safe operation and practical use of Fast Rescue Craft
- Crane / Davit operator experience
- 6 months sea time within Lifeboats and/or Fast Rescue Craft
- Able and willing to work to flexible schedules/ shifts
