This role will suit an experienced Head of Crewing who has strong communication and organisational skills with a background in managing crew onboard mixed vessels, Northern Marine will offer a strong long term structured career path with an excellent benefits package including;
Responsibilities:
Oversee crewing contractual matters and compliance.
Provide strategic direction for vessel manning.
Set annual objectives aligned with business plans.
Foster organizational learning, innovation, and efficiency.
Implement a commercial approach, targeting cost-effectiveness.
Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Represent and promote NMMS and the wider Northern Marine Group.
Actively support new business and client engagement.
Demonstrate strong ethics, integrity, and transparency.
Requirements:
Essential:
Senior management experience in ship management.
Extensive experience in people management and workforce planning.
Onshore experience in Ship Management tanker industry.
Senior Crewing knowledge and experience.
Critical thinking skills.
Extensive knowledge of ISM, MLC, STCW, ISO, Governance, and Audits.
Operations, technical, and safety knowledge in tanker operations.
Excellent financial knowledge and budget control.
Motivational and inspirational leadership abilities.
Desirable:
Degree preferred.
Marine qualifications preferred.
