Job Description

Do you want a role where your engineering judgment determines when a complex energy system is truly ready to go live, not just when a checklist is signed off? With our client, the Field Service Engineer is the trusted technical authority on site, responsible for overseeing the installation and commissioning of large-scale Energy Storage Systems and ensuring every phase meets the highest standards before the next one begins.

This is a remote-based role designed for an engineer who thrives in the field rather than behind a desk. You’ll travel extensively across the USA, with opportunities to work internationally as projects demand, collaborating directly with customers, shipyards, system integrators, service partners, and internal teams. Your work will span installing, commissioning, testing, servicing, and repairing advanced energy storage solutions. When challenges arise, you’ll diagnose complex hardware, software, and network issues—sometimes on site, sometimes remotely—using system data and analysis to drive confident, well-documented decisions. You’ll also create clear technical documentation, produce reports and State of Health insights, manage service activities, and deliver hands-on training that enables customer teams to operate independently and successfully.

As the primary field representative for our client, you’ll play a critical role in building customer trust and long-term partnerships while operating with a high degree of autonomy. Extensive travel is a core part of the role, so a valid US passport and driver’s license are essential. You’ll report to the Regional Services Manager, Americas, while working remotely between site visits.

Are you the engineer who can confidently lead on-site installation and commissioning of complex industrial or marine energy systems while coordinating multiple stakeholders and trades? Have you built a career solving difficult electrical, mechanical, software, or network integration problems and seeing projects through from installation to full operational confidence? Do you enjoy turning technical work into clear documentation, meaningful reports, and practical training that truly supports customer success? And are you motivated by remote working, heavy travel, and the responsibility of being the trusted technical face of an innovative energy organization?

If you bring a degree or diploma in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering, at least seven years of field service engineering experience, and a flexible, solution-oriented mindset, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for. Apply now to start the conversation and see where this role could take you.

You must be eligible to live and work in the USA to apply for this role.
