An established engineering organisation is seeking a Project Engineer to support the planning and delivery of technical projects within the marine and industrial engineering environment. This office‑based role involves managing technical scopes, coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers, and ensuring project activities meet required standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and prioritise technical scopes of work in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee engineering implementation of upgrades, maintenance activities, and system modifications.
- Lead technical input during project planning, ensuring clarity of specifications and deliverables.
- Provide engineering oversight for contractor and OEM activities both on‑site and remotely.
- Deliver projects from initial request through execution and completion, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Prepare detailed work packages, track progress, resolve technical issues, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Support cost estimation, resource planning, change control, and continuous improvement activities.
- Attend client or project meetings as the lead engineer, supported by the wider team.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Marine, Electrical, or similar engineering discipline.
- Experience in a project engineering role.
- Strong technical problem‑solving skills and hands‑on understanding of engineering systems.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and engage with varied stakeholders.
- Familiarity with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, or classification bodies.
