The Role
  
To support operational teams in the identification, feasibility, cost benefit, planning and execution of projects which optimize fleet risk, reliability, efficiency and cost.
  
Responsibilities 
  
* Perform and present feasibility, engineering and cost benefit studies to internal and external stakeholders.
* Prepare and action project execution plans inclusive of risk, quality, time and cost management.
* Liaise with operational departments to support planning and execution of vessel repair periods in line with company policy and USMS whilst promoting optimization of risk, quality, time and cost management.
* Liaise with and co-ordinate internal/external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
* Evaluate stakeholder work scopes and tenders to ensure the optimization of risk, quality, time and cost.
* Work with original equipment manufacturers (OEM) to ensure onboard equipment is maintained as per maker’s
latest guidelines.
* Deliver and manage assigned projects safely, on time and on budget ensuring a high level of quality.

The Person

* Degree educated to Bachelor’s level or above in a relevant electrical / electronic subject and/or holds STCW Electro-Technical Officer Certificate of Competence.
* Holds STCW certification for High Voltage qualification.
* Holds a valid certificate for working with electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres. (COMPEX / ATEX).

* Preferably 5+ years in the marine electrical industry.
* Preferably understanding of cargo containment systems, cargo handling equipment and auxiliary systems on board managed vessels
* Has direct on-board experience with diesel electric propulsion systems.
* Must have sound knowledge of marine automation systems.
