The Role
As the Edge Systems Engineer, you will working to develop and deploy modern OT/IIoT safety-critical control solutions within the maritime industry. The solutions must reliable and securely gather and store operating data, provide edge processing and transfer data to the cloud service. You will be responsible for the development of an edge platform, the integration of new and existing OT systems with the edge platform, and data collection and transmission to the cloud services. The successful candidate will be working in a fantastic team of motivated and highly skilled people and have the opportunity of contributing to greenfield projects in a rapidly growing, dynamic company.
Key Responsibilities
- Critical to the role will be Industry 4.0 experience using Industrial PCs, Azure IoT Edge, Azure IoT Hub, and OPC UA
- Collaboratively design, develop, simulate, test, deploy, and secure modern IIoT solutions for Silverstream products in a challenging maritime environment
- Identify and understand all required standards and certifications, and ensure they are met
- Provide subject matter technical support to the Technical and Data teams
- Provide suitable documentation to support all work done
