Our client – a leading name in the dry bulk shipping industry (ship operator) – is looking for a dynamic and motivated Chartering Manager to join their high-performing team. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and execute spot and period chartering activities within the Handysize segment.
Identify and secure cargo opportunities, negotiate charter party terms, and finalize fixtures with shipowners, brokers, and charterers.
Collaborate closely with operations and post-fixture teams to ensure seamless execution of voyages.
Track freight market trends, cultivate strong industry relationships, and support strategic planning and commercial performance.
Apply your ship operator experience to ensure practical, results-driven chartering decisions.

Requirements:

Demonstrated experience in a chartering position within a ship operating environment.
In-depth knowledge of the dry bulk market, with particular focus on the Handysize segment.
Skilled negotiator with a thorough grasp of charter party terms and voyage economics.
Commercially driven with strong operational insight – capable of balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.
Proactive, collaborative team player with well-established industry connections.
