Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chartering Manager to join the team and take responsibility for the Supramax Desk, focusing on dry bulk shipping. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the dry bulk industry, particularly in managing Supramax vessels.
Responsibilities:
- Handle the full cycle of vessel chartering operations for Supramax vessels, including fixing, negotiating rates, and concluding charter agreements with clients, ensuring optimal vessel utilization and revenue generation.
- Monitor market trends, freight rates, and cargo demand in the dry bulk sector, specifically for Supramax vessels. Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify potential opportunities and risks.
- Review, negotiate, and execute charter contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Provide support and guidance to stakeholders regarding contractual terms and conditions.
- Proven experience as a Chartering Manager, preferably with a focus on Supramax vessels in the dry bulk industry.
- In-depth knowledge of dry bulk shipping operations, including chartering practices, vessel types, and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to assess market conditions and optimize chartering outcomes.
