The Company

Our client is a highly regarded international ship owner and manager with a strong presence in the dry bulk sector. With charterer scrutiny and RightShip expectations continuing to intensify this organisation is investing in experienced vetting capability to safeguard fleet performance commercial outcomes and long term employability.

The Role

This is a key shore based position responsible for coordinating and managing vetting compliance across a managed dry bulk fleet. Working closely with operations commercial and technical teams you will ensure vessels are inspection ready commercially viable and fully aligned with RightShip Dry BMS and wider industry standards.

The role involves coordinating RightShip terminal PSC and charterer inspections while screening pre fixture questionnaires and vessel documentation. You will manage superintendent attendance and self inspection activity and review inspection findings with a focus on root cause analysis and timely close out. A core part of the position is drafting and submitting vetting responses to RightShip and charterers while monitoring fleet vetting performance and identifying trends. You will also support Dry BMS implementation audit readiness and corrective actions and carry out vessel visits where required to support inspection readiness.

About You

You are an experienced vetting professional with strong technical credibility in bulker operations and a clear understanding of how vetting outcomes directly impact commercial performance. You are comfortable working autonomously while collaborating across operations commercial and technical teams and influencing at all levels of the organisation.

You will bring a senior officer background deck or engine with shore based vetting experience or at least two years in a similar shore based vetting role within ship management. You have a strong working knowledge of RightShip Dry BMS PSC and charterer vetting requirements and are confident engaging with superintendents vessels and commercial stakeholders.

Your communication skills are clear and credible and you apply a structured analytical approach to inspections continuous improvement and compliance management.
