Job Description

We are supporting a well-established shipowner in their search for a Vetting Manager to oversee and enhance the vetting performance of their tanker and gas fleet. This role is ideal for a senior maritime professional with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience managing the full vetting lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with all industry regulations and standards relevant to tanker and liquefied gas vessels.
  • Oversee the end-to-end process for SIRE, CDI, PSC, FSC, and ISM inspections.
  • Develop and implement fleet inspection plans aligned with commercial requirements, ensuring all reports remain valid, accurate, and up to date.
  • Review, analyze, and close out all observations and findings from inspections, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are taken promptly.
  • Maintain strong communication channels with oil majors and third-party inspectors; respond to queries and coordinate vetting-related matters effectively.
Minimum Requirements
  • COC Class 1 (Master Mariner preferred).
  • Strong sailing or shore-based experience with tanker vessels; liquefied gas vessel experience highly preferred.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on vetting experience.
