About the Role We are seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to oversee the technical management of dry bulk carriers and general cargo vessels. This role is critical to ensuring vessel safety, compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting the company’s fleet strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the technical performance of assigned dry fleet vessels, ensuring compliance with class, flag, and international regulations
- Plan and supervise dry dockings, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Implement and monitor planned maintenance systems (PMS) across the fleet
- Control budgets for technical operations and ensure cost efficiency
- Conduct root cause analysis for technical issues and implement corrective actions
- Liaise with shipboard teams, vendors, and classification societies
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of spares and equipment
- Support QHSE initiatives and maintain high safety standards
- Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Technical Superintendent or similar role
- Strong knowledge of dry bulk carrier or general cargo vessel operations (experience with geared bulkers is highly desirable)
- Familiarity with PMS and dry dock management
