Technical Superintendent (Dual-Fuel LNG Engines) – Tankers

We are supporting a global tanker owner in the search for a highly competent Technical Superintendent with strong expertise in 2-stroke ME-C and dual-fuel LNG engine operations.
This role will lead the technical management of modern tanker vessels and drive excellence in safety, performance, and compliance standards across the fleet.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide full lifecycle technical management of assigned tanker vessels, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations.
• Lead maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and engine performance optimisation for 2-stroke DF engines (ME-C / MEGI) - mandatory.
• Plan, prepare and supervise drydockings, repairs, retrofits and technical upgrades.
• Ensure full compliance with Class, Flag, and Oil Major requirements, aligned to company standards.
• Work closely with Masters/Chief Engineers, monitoring budgets, vessel performance and operational KPIs.
• Drive proactive technical risk management, improvement initiatives and stakeholder collaboration.
Requirements
✔ Chief Engineer (C/E) background with sailing experience on Chemical, Product or Crude Tankers
✔ Hands-on experience with 2-stroke ME-C engines
✔ Direct experience with MEGI (Fuel + LNG) or dual-fuel engines (LNG, LPG, Ammonia) – strong advantage
✔ Minimum 3 years’ experience as Technical Superintendent managing tankers
✔ Has completed drydockings (min 3.) for tanker/LNG vessels
✔ Strong knowledge of Class, Flag & Oil Major requirements
✔ Demonstrates stable career progression and capability to manage a portfolio of multiple vessels
