Due to ongoing fleet expansion, our client, who is an established ship owner, is on the look out for competent Technical Superintendents in China to join their team in their Shenzhen office.
To be considered, you need to have sailed on either container ships or geared bulk carriers as a Chief Engineer. At least 2 years of shore experience as a Technical Superintendent managing container ships or geared bulk carriers.
You will oversee the technical management of the vessels assigned to you, ensuring the vessels are technically operational and managed within the planned requirements. You will oversee daily maintenance and repair operations, scheduling and preparing vessels for surveys, inspections and dockings. You will manage operational budget and expenditure. You will ensure that the vessels' technical certificates are properly documented and maintained. You will work closely with the marine and HSEQ team to support proper implementation and awareness of marine safety and HSEQ protocols.
