Position Overview: As a Technical Superintendent, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the technical operations of our diverse vessel fleet along the South Coast. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for all technical and operational matters, collaborating closely with stakeholders and the workforce to ensure optimal vessel performance. Your responsibilities will include attending dry docks and providing crucial technical assistance to our vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume full responsibility for the technical operation of assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Liaise with stakeholders and the workforce on all technical and operational matters, including vessel performance optimization.
- Coordinate and attend dry docks, overseeing maintenance and repair activities to ensure timely completion.
- Provide expert technical assistance and guidance to vessel crews as needed.
- Monitor and analyze vessel performance data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to vessel maintenance and operations.
- Previous shore-based experience in a similar technical role within the maritime industry.
- Sea-going experience as a Chief Engineer or in a comparable position.
- Demonstrated proficiency in people management and team leadership.
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK and be permanently based on the South Coast of England.
