This role is crucial in shaping the technical framework for maritime infrastructure and information systems, ensuring that the solutions are not only technologically advanced but also meet the specific operational needs and compliance standards of the maritime sector.
In this role, you will work closely with the Architecture Team to align technical requirements with maritime design objectives and regulatory standards. You will develop detailed design documents that guide the integration of complex systems within maritime infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and seamless operation across various platforms. Your role will involve assessing the feasibility of new technologies, optimising system performance, and implementing robust security measures tailored to the maritime environment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems engineering, with a strong focus on systems integration. A deep understanding of networking and infrastructure, particularly with Fortinet products, as well as proficiency in Debian Linux and Windows operating systems, is essential. Knowledge of automation tools and scripting, particularly in Python, will also be highly valued. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent technical documentation abilities, and effective communication are crucial for success in this role.
