A leading organisation in the marine solutions industry is seeking an experienced Principal Support Engineer to join their Services division. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Support
- Lead the technical support function, providing expert guidance to Commissioning and Service Engineers.
- Support complex electrical and mechanical commissioning, repairs, and maintenance remotely and on-site.
- Act as the product specialist with advanced knowledge across the Water & Waste product portfolio.
- Contribute to new processes, improved ways of working, and continuous product development.
- Represent the organisation professionally when working with shipyards, vessel crew, and classification societies.
- Support installation planning, design queries, and operational procedure improvements.
- Champion the implementation of health and safety policies across all service activities.
- Maintain awareness of industry developments such as environmental legislation and class society standards.
- Degree/Master’s in Water/Wastewater, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering OR time‑served apprenticeship with relevant HNC/HND.
- Strong electrical/mechanical engineering background with the ability to interpret P\&IDs, process flows, and complex electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of PLC/electronic systems (e.g., Siemens, Mitsubishi) is highly advantageous.
- Experience in marine engineering or electromechanical system commissioning preferred.
