Role:
- Lead technical operations onboard as the primary engineer-in-charge
- Conduct training sessions for internal engineers and external service agents
- Provide technical and administrative support to office operations
Responsibilities:
- Perform onboard maintenance, inspections, repairs, troubleshooting, and system modifications
- Plan and manage field service schedules and activities
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently
- Supervise repairs and implement technical upgrades
- Install new systems and technologies as required
- Ensure proper upkeep and preventive maintenance of onboard equipment
- Direct and oversee technicians and engineers during service operations
- Deliver technical remote support to both customers and internal peers as needed
- Prepare detailed service reports covering job progress, travel/work hours, technical findings, and recommendations
- Communicate job status and updates to supervisors and relevant stakeholders
- Deliver technical support and training to customers, agents, and internal teams
- Coordinate and dispatch necessary parts, drawings, and documentation to service agents
- Maintain tools in good condition for safety and high-quality
- Develop manuals and support documents to share technical insights and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency
- Collect and relay customer feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement
- Review service reports and maintenance records to support sales and business development
- Fulfill all responsibilities typically assigned to Technicians
- Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with vessel main engine automation systems or equivalent marine control systems
