A well-established international provider of specialized marine and industrial solutions is seeking a senior commercial leader to drive regional growth across APAC.
This role combines hands-on business development with people leadership, managing a team of four sales professionals while actively building new revenue streams across key maritime and industrial customer segments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Revenue Growth (Hunter Focus)
- Drive new customer acquisition across marine, offshore, and related industrial sectors
- Identify and convert high-value opportunities with fleet operators, asset owners, service providers, and distribution partners
- Develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies aligned with fleet activity, port movements, and customer demand
- Expand footprint across consumables, technical solutions, and value-added services
- Build long-term partnerships with strategic regional clients
- Conduct customer meetings, onboard visits, and technical-commercial discussions with decision-makers
- Provide consultative solutions aligned with operational, technical, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain strong post-sales engagement to ensure retention, upsell, and satisfaction
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional sales team
- Set performance targets, monitor KPIs, and implement capability development plans
- Support the team with deal strategy, customer engagement, and negotiation planning
- Foster a high-performance, accountability-driven sales culture
- Structure and close regional contracts, tenders, and long-term agreements
- Manage pricing strategy, proposals, and commercial approvals
- Drive disciplined pipeline management and forecast accuracy
- Track competitor activity, customer trends, and regional commercial signals
- Provide insights to senior leadership on pricing, demand, and growth opportunities
- Maintain accurate CRM reporting and sales performance data
- Partner with operations, technical, and supply teams to ensure service excellence
- Support product positioning, customer trials, and technical briefings
- Contribute to regional branding and commercial messaging initiatives
- 7–10+ years of B2B sales experience in marine, offshore, energy, industrial, or technical services
- Proven success in direct hunting/new business development
- Prior experience managing and developing a sales team
- Strong regional network across asset owners, operators, distributors, or service providers
- Commercially sharp, consultative, and comfortable in senior stakeholder conversations
- Technically curious with the ability to sell solutions rather than commodities
- Willing to travel regionally across ports, hubs, and customer locations
