Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior FP&A Analyst - Risk & Insurance to play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, managing enterprise risk, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. This is a senior, high-impact position combining financial planning & analysis with ownership of a complex corporate insurance portfolio.

You will need to be a US Citizen / US Green Card holder as no sponsorship is available for this role. 
 
This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders, working across operations, and translating risk and insurance data into meaningful financial insight.
 
The Role
 
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing insurance-related financial planning, forecasting, and risk analysis, while supporting broader FP&A activities. You will act as a key liaison between finance, legal, operations, brokers, and insurers, ensuring robust coverage, cost optimization, and effective claims management.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Insurance Program Management: Lead the administration of corporate insurance programs including marine, casualty, property, workers' compensation, and other lines.
  • Renewals & Negotiations: Coordinate annual renewals, assess coverage needs, prepare submissions, negotiate terms, and manage premium payments.
  • Claims Administration: Oversee bodily injury and property damage claims from initial notification through to settlement, working closely with brokers and underwriters.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with senior leadership and operational teams on insurance-related matters and risk mitigation strategies.
  • FP&A Ownership: Lead annual insurance budgeting and monthly forecasting, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Financial Modelling & Analysis: Develop and maintain insurance financial models; analyze actuals vs forecast and identify trends and variances.
  • Performance & Insights: Define and track key insurance KPIs and non-financial metrics to drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Risk & Capital Analysis: Identify risk-related capital improvements and financial rationalization opportunities.
  • Contract & Compliance Support: Support legal teams with contract reviews, insurance certificates, and compliance requirements.
  • Reporting: Deliver clear, actionable insights to senior management to support decision-making.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA and/or CPA preferred).
  • Progressive experience in FP&A, accounting, and risk or insurance-related finance roles.
  • Strong experience managing corporate insurance programs within a medium to large organization.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with the ability to build and present clear financial models and insights.
  • Experience working with Oracle or similar ERP systems, including BI and multidimensional reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to partner closely with operations and senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated success driving operational improvements and cost efficiencies.
