Pioneering Opportunity | Senior Business Development – Dry Commodities | Australia

Faststream Recruitment has partnered with a global transshipment and logistics group seeking to expand its footprint in Australia. As the first hire on the ground, you’ll play a key role in shaping growth strategy and building new revenue streams across the dry commodities sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and assess new business opportunities across dry commodities (ideally metals and mining) and related sectors
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline for potential acquisitions and partnerships
  • Establish strategic alliances with clients, suppliers, and government/industry bodies
  • Lead market research and feasibility studies into new regions and product lines
  • Drive end-to-end business development initiatives including commercial negotiations and deal structuring
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership on expansion plans and commercial strategy
  • Deliver clear, data-driven reports and progress updates to HQ
What We’re Looking For:
  • 7+ years’ experience in business development, M&A, or commercial strategy – ideally in dry commodities(metals/mining), understanding of shipping/logistics
  • Strong track record of identifying, evaluating, and executing growth opportunities
  • Commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and the drive to build something from the ground up
  • Degree in Business, Economics, or related field; MBA is an advantage
