A growing engineering solutions provider is seeking a Sales Solutions Engineer to support business growth through consultative technical sales and solution development. This role is suited for candidates with engineering knowledge and experience in industrial technical sales who enjoy working closely with customers to develop practical, value-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales
  • Generate and qualify new leads through market research, outreach, and referral networks
  • Arrange and conduct client meetings and technical sales presentations
  • Drive consultative selling, including cross-selling and up-selling of engineering products and solutions
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure and post-sales follow-up
  • Build long-term client relationships to support retention and repeat business
Technical & Solution Support
  • Understand client technical requirements and co-develop feasible engineering solutions
  • Stay technically updated to effectively discuss products and applications with customers
  • Prepare customized proposals and presentations highlighting technical value and solutions
  • Suggest cost-saving and performance-improving alternatives for customers
Sales Coordination & Administration
  • Prepare quotations, tenders, costings, and proposals
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to support deal execution
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and transactions
  • Provide regular pipeline and activity updates
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support product and strategy improvements
Customer Service & After-Sales Support
  • Provide responsive pre- and post-sales technical support
  • Address customer feedback and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain strong service standards through proactive follow-up and communication
Requirements
  • Diploma in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical or engineering sales
  • Experience in refinery, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, or related industrial sectors preferred
  • Strong consultative selling and solutioning mindset
  • Good technical communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
  • Proficient in MS Office and common business software tools
  • Possess own vehicle for client visits
