This role is ideal for someone who is practically minded, comfortable working both onshore and onboard vessels, and experienced in driving high standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence across complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain integrated QHSE management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
- Act as Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and Company Security Officer (CSO) for the UAE fleet
- Ensure full compliance with ISM Code, MLC, flag state, and local regulatory requirements
- Conduct vessel visits, onboard audits, and inspections
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operations
- Maintain and manage the company risk register, ensuring effective mitigation controls
- Deliver QHSE training, inductions, and promote a strong safety culture
- Coordinate management reviews, KPI reporting, and performance monitoring
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and Netherlands (NL) Flag requirements
- Proven experience in a QHSE leadership role within offshore marine, oil & gas, or windfarm sectors
- Strong working knowledge of auditing, compliance, and certification processes
- Hands-on approach with willingness to travel offshore and work onboard vessels
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with incident investigation and continuous improvement methodologies
- NEBOSH certification (preferred but not essential)
- Familiarity with UAE regulatory frameworks and NL Flag requirements
- ADNOC approval (highly desirable)
- Currently based in the UAE (preferred)
