The Project Junior Engineer shall fulfil the following Requirements:
- A marine degree from a university, a marine academy or college or equivalent working education in the shipping industry
- Experience in the shipping industry as Engineer
- Knowledge and/or experience in purchasing and budget cost control
- Good sense of responsibility and self-management
- Good command of the English language, other European language is a plus
- Good knowledge of the marine industry and applicable Rules and Regulations
- Good technical knowledge of the vessels assigned to him
- Following up shipboard quality assurance system requirements as assigned by the Project Manager
- Monitoring performance, technical and operational conditions of ships
- Assisting the Project Manager in scheduling repairs and dry-docking, refurbishments and refits for hotel areas to ensure that ships are fully certified according to international standards and requirements
- Assisting in the follow up of insurance and claims related matters under close cooperation of the Project Manager
- Providing support to the shipboard management in respect of technical and operational matters
- Following up with outfitters and service companies on day to day for progress
