We'd be interested in hearing from Senior Marine/Offshore Engineers for a hands-on technical leadership role with real authority over engineering decisions.
This position suits an experienced engineer who wants ownership, accountability, and involvement in complex, high-risk projects where sound engineering judgement matters.
What you’ll be doing
- Acting as technical authority on marine/offshore projects
- Owning key engineering decisions and setting engineering standards
- Reviewing and approving structural design, FEA, marine analysis, lift plans, and method statements
- Managing technical and operational risk
- Supporting tenders, planning, and live onshore/offshore operations
- Providing rapid problem-solving during critical activities
- Mentoring engineers and interfacing with clients, vessels, and third parties
- Degree in Naval Architecture (or similar)
- 6+ years’ marine/offshore engineering experience
- Strong hands-on experience with ANSYS (or equivalent) and OrcaFlex
- Solid naval architecture fundamentals (stability, motions, transport, lifting)
- Experience supporting live, time-critical operations
- Confident technical communicator and mentor
- Full UK driving licence
- Chartered Engineer (or working toward)
- Heavy lift, transport, towing, or cable installation experience
- Experience as technical authority or engineering signatory
