This is a crucial senior leadership role that combines strategic oversight with real hands-on delivery. You’ll be equally comfortable in a boilersuit on-site as you are in the boardroom, ensuring every project runs safely, profitably and to the highest technical and operational standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team of Engineers, Project Managers and Project Coordinators, setting clear expectations and driving consistent, high-quality delivery.
- Serve as the accountable owner for all project delivery from bolt sourcing to crane selection, variation management and final close-out.
- Oversee a live portfolio of approximately 40 active projects.
- Ensure seamless alignment between engineering, operations and commercial teams to achieve project margins and client satisfaction.
- Take personal ownership of the company’s most complex turnkey and offshore projects, ensuring obligations are met on safety, quality, schedule and cost.
- Inject strong governance and control across all phases: planning, risk, execution, cost and reporting.
- Provide calm, decisive leadership during high-pressure and time-critical offshore or onshore operations.
- Champion HSE excellence and intervene proactively to manage project and operational risk.
- Partner closely with the Operations Director and wider Senior Leadership Team to shape delivery strategy and reporting frameworks.
- Support tendering and contract negotiation, ensuring deliverability and clear variation/change control mechanisms.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, vessel teams, suppliers and other stakeholders through transparency and performance.

What You’ll Bring:
- Extensive experience in senior project leadership, ideally in offshore, oil and gas, or renewable energy engineering.
- Proven record delivering complex, multi-site or multidisciplinary projects with annual revenues exceeding £20M.
- Strong commercial and contract management acumen, with experience supporting negotiations and protecting margins.
- Natural authority and credibility with clients, contractors and internal teams.
- Practical knowledge across the full delivery cycle, from sourcing and logistics to heavy lifting, offshore operations and execution planning.
- Excellent HSE awareness and commitment to safe systems of work.
- Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on support during critical project phases.
- Strong financial literacy and confident board-level reporting capability.
- Full UK driving licence.
