This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical / Marine Engineer with experience working on heavy equipment to work in an established Port on the East Coast of Florida.
You will be responsible for the oversight of maintenance activities and assessment of conditions for the Port, including rubber tyre gantry cranes, straddle carriers, reach stackers and forklifts.
Provides support and input to maintain uptime, safety, and compliance to standards.
You will manage a team of Heavy Equipment Mechanics, Fabricators and Welders, Equipment Support Specialist and a Parts Coordinator, organising rotas and appropriate cover.
Experience of managing budgets and assisting with capital budgets will be an advantage. The opportunity to assist with negotiating service contracts with service providers.
Conducts on-site equipment evaluation, safe-operating practices and conducts safety incident investigations.
Provides maintenance activity reports to management, including monthly uptime and productivity reports.
