We are recruiting for an Operations Manager with bulk vessel experience to work in the US office of a well established and growing vessel owner.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for delivering high quality voyage management services. Responsible to supervise, guide and managing the performance of the Operators within their office, setting relevant objectives to achieve high performing culture within Operations.
The job holder will manage and supervise day to day operational activity within the office, always working in close coordination with Chartering Teams and Regional Operations Director.
This includes all aspects of the Voyage Execution, including Trade and Voyage review, participation in Trade meetings as required.
You will ensure the company’s policies and procedures are followed by all operational staff
You may be assigned operating responsibilities as required, for example cover during vacation periods, spot trades etc. Some travel to attend port operations, vessels and supplier meetings will be required.
Ideally you will have a Maritime degree or equivalent shore qualification, a Chief Officer / Master certificate and experience, equivalent shore qualifications would be an advantage.
Relevant experience in operations roles within the shipping industry, a substantial part of that experience being from the dry bulk / break-bulk sector.
