Nautical & SHE-Q Officer

Faststream is please to be supporting a leading dredging and marine contractor, whom due to expansion are looking to take on a Nautical & SHE-Q Officer into their South Coast office based in Hampshire.

The role will entail ensuring the companies operational and SHE-Q requirements are met. You will support the Crew to achieve operational excellence as well as carry out audits and inspections of all the vessels. You will ensure the vessels are certified and that crew have the correct certification. You will support with travel coordination and necessary arrangements for Crew when necessary as well as crew appraisals. You will carry out various Marine and SHE-Q actives, be involved with maintaining the company SMS ensuring it is in line with ISM code, and act as Deputy DPA when the DP is unavailable, amongst various other duties.

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following:

Sea going as a Deck officer with a minim OOW Deck Unlimited COC
Shore /office based experience in a similar role desirable but not essential
NEBOSH desirable
DP and Lead Auditor Qualification (or willingness to work towards)
Experience working with a SMS desirable
Full valid driving license

In order to be considered, you must be based within commuting distance of the office in Hampshire and hold the existing permanent right to live and work in the UK. You will need to pass a government Security clearance and hold a valid ENG1 Medical.
