LNG Chartering Manager

A leading international trading company is looking for an experienced Chartering Manager to join their team in Singapore to help grow their business in the LNG industry.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with traders, operations, and management to develop both annual and long-term shipping strategies.
Negotiate spot or long-term time charter contracts as needed.
Monitor and analyze shipping market trends to identify potential opportunities.
Work closely with operations, providing support to resolve commercial issues effectively.
Oversee the execution of contracts and ensure proper follow-up.
Collect and record essential information accurately.
Prepare and present reports as required within the company.
Report directly to the Head of Shipping & Chartering based in Singapore.

Qualifications and Skills:

At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Charterer or Ship Broker, with a preference for candidates with a background in shipping education.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with internal teams (Traders, Operators, Finance) and interact with external parties (Ship Owners, Charterers, Brokers) on a daily basis.
Flexible and creative thinker, with the ability to work independently and manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, with additional language skills considered an advantage.
Willingness to travel as required.
