I am exclusively supporting a leading UK based ship owner and operator, who have an exciting opportunity for a HSSEQ Manager to join their growing business in the UK.  Our client has several hubs around the UK, but will require regular office presence in Hull. Our client is pleased to offer the option for flexible / hybrid working if desired meaning your base in the UK can be flexible.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company Safety Management System as well as ensuring the vessels are complaint with Maritime safety standards. You will focus on developing and implementing up to date management systems and drive performance across both sea going and office based staff. You will act as DPA, and CSO for the Safety Management System, attend regular vessels visits and carry out internal audits, amongst various other duties.  

The ideal candidate will have: -
  • Sea going experience as a Deck Officer with a minimum OOW Unlimited COC
  • Shore based experience in HSEQ in a Marine Environment
  • NEBOSH, IOSSH and other relevant qualifications are desirable
  •  Lead Auditor ISM, ISPS, ISO 9001 understanding and experience desirable
  • Ability to work independently with initiative and as part of a team
  • Hold a Valid UK Driving License
