Job Title: Head of Procurement
Location: Europe
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Immediate Start

An established and growing organisation in the maritime hospitality sector is seeking an experienced and highly driven Head of Procurement to lead and oversee the company’s global purchasing operations. This is a senior leadership role with immediate start, ideal for someone with a strong background in F&B procurement and hands-on experience with MXP.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all procurement functions across multiple departments and vessel operations.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Oversee sourcing, tendering, supplier negotiations, and contract management with a focus on F&B and hotel consumables.
  • Ensure full compliance with procurement standards, procedures, and client-specific policies.
  • Drive improvements in supplier performance, cost control, and stock optimisation through strategic planning and analysis.
  • Ensure procurement systems (specifically MXP) are effectively utilised and data is accurately maintained.
  • Collaborate closely with culinary, hotel, and operations teams to forecast demand and align supply chain planning with business goals.
  • Review, manage, and report on procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Guide and mentor the procurement team, ensuring strong operational performance and professional development.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, vendor audits, and implement corrective measures when required.
  • Provide leadership on procurement matters during start-up and new build projects.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum 7–10 years of senior-level purchasing experience, ideally within the maritime, cruise, or luxury hospitality industry.
  • Solid F&B procurement background with proven experience managing hotel consumables, durables, and provisioning for vessels.
  • Advanced proficiency in MXP is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Strong negotiation, budgeting, and analytical skills with an eye for cost control and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal); additional European languages such as German, French, or Italian are an asset.
  • Proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ISO-based management systems is desirable.
  • Available to start immediately.
