Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's QHSE management systems and ensure compliance with international regulations and standards.
- Conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions to maintain and improve the company's safety and environmental performance.
- Develop and implement safety and environmental policies and procedures in line with best practices and industry standards.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including customers, port authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure that all vessels under the company's management meet industry standards for safety, security, and environmental performance.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide training and support to the company's employees to ensure a strong safety and environmental culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as maritime studies, engineering, or environmental science.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the dry cargo/bulk shipping industry.
- Strong knowledge of Bulk Shipmanagement systems and Rightship bulk vetting.
- Understanding of relevant international regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as required.
