In this role, you will oversee a specialist function that drives vetting performance and leads incident analysis across a large dry fleet. You'll guide a capable team (located across different countries) while working closely with major charterers, terminals and classification-related stakeholders. Day-to-day, you'll champion safe operations, steer performance strategies, enhance inspection readiness, and ensure clear, data-backed reporting for incidents and corrective actions. You'll also play a central role in advancing safety culture and maintaining strong working relationships with both internal and external partners.
Key Requirements
- Former Master Mariner with solid seagoing experience on dry cargo vessels, followed by extensive shore-based leadership exposure
- Proven capability managing a specialised function, including remote teams and high-volume fleet oversight
- Strong knowledge of dry vetting practices, incident review methodologies and safety/operational standards
- Confident communicator able to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic improvement initiatives
