Fleet Operations Manager

Varna, Bulgaria (Barcelona can be considered)
Full-time office based role with international travel required

I am working with a growing global yacht management company who have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Operations Manager to join their team due to business expansion.
  
The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take overall responsibility for fleet operations, ensuring excellence across yacht management, technical oversight, compliance, finance and crew management.

You will act as the primary operational contact for yacht owners, captains, family offices and key stakeholders, ensuring seamless service delivery and strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee day-to-day fleet operations across all departments
  • Drive operational KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee vessel budgets, financial reporting, payroll and cost control
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Work closely with the Technical Director on maintenance, refits, dry docks and new builds
  • Conduct regular yacht visits and client meetings globally
  • Support contract negotiations with suppliers and service partners
  • Lead sustainability and digital innovation initiatives
Ideal Profile
  • 10+ years’ experience in maritime, yacht or fleet operations
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior fleet, technical or operations leadership role
  • Strong financial management and cost control expertise
  • Proven experience working with UHNW clients, family offices or private ownership structures
  • Strong compliance and risk management background
  • Fluent English (additional languages advantageous)
  • EU right to work
