My client is a family-owned business and one of the market leaders in marine consultancy, LNG/LPG technology and offshore wind energy. Their services include marine consultancy, newbuilding supervision and plan approval, their mission is to drive the transition of the maritime industry towards a more efficient and lower carbon future.
The Role:
As an Electrical Engineer with several years of experience in the offshore wind or shipbuilding industry, you will be involved in a variety of tasks related to power systems, automation, and safety.
Your responsibilities will include:
 Working with power distribution networks from 12 V to 10 kV
 Handling automation and communication systems
 Evaluating safety systems such as fire alarm systems, GAPA, UPS
 Developing technical studies and specifications
 Assessing tender documents
 Reviewing engineering drawings and technical documentation
 Advocating the owner's interests throughout construction projects
 Creating basic designs for AC systems and switchgear
The Person:
 Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
 Several years of experience in the offshore wind or shipbuilding industry
 Proven ability to work independently and manage client, shipyard, and supplier interactions
 Strong understanding of relevant regulations, such as VDE, IEC, or classification rules for seagoing vessels
 Willingness to travel globally as needed
 Good communication skills in German and English, spoken and written
 Proficiency in MS Office Suite
 Experience with common CAD systems, such as TurboCAD or AutoCAD
