Faststream is delighted to be representing a leading international insurance brokerage, seeking a senior Marine Facultative professional to support and grow its Asia platform. This role offers regional scope, exposure to global business, and the opportunity to work closely with key insurers, reinsurers, and multinational clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Marine Facultative portfolio across Asia.
- Drive regional Marine placement strategies across all Marine lines.
- Support the development and execution of Marine pipelines, processes, and delivery standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurers and reinsurers to identify opportunities, enhance market access, and secure optimal terms for clients.
- Manage and service a portfolio of regional accounts across Asia.
- Support the placement of global programmes into the Asian insurance market.
- Provide claims advocacy support where required.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across regions to ensure effective delivery and alignment.
- Maintain professional working relationships with clients, ceding companies, insurers, reinsurers, and service providers globally.
- Analyse and manage underwriting information to support placements and renewals.
- Support the preparation of client and market presentations, including renewals and market roadshows.
- Review policy wordings, cover notes, and related contractual documentation.
- Oversee renewal schedules and new business targets on a quarterly basis.
- Prepare and manage stewardship, renewal, and claims status reporting.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal governance processes.
- Align available services with clients' strategic objectives.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; insurance, risk management, or business-related disciplines preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience within Marine insurance or reinsurance broking.
- Strong technical knowledge of the Marine market and placement processes.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a senior, regional role within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel within the region as required.
