Job Purpose

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that all Crew technical development aligns with the Company's requirements and international standards. The incumbent will be tasked with coordinating the training matrix and ensuring the efficacy of the training provided (excluding STWC Courses).

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with various departments to assess their needs for company courses, encompassing Safety, Security, Nautical, Environmental, Engine, and Energy Saving.
  • Develop a sustainable strategy for technical development and prepare budgets for submission to the board.
  • Liaise with different training centers to facilitate company courses, covering Safety, Security, Nautical, Environmental, Engine, and Energy Saving.
  • Adhere to the crew development budget and oversee the purchase order process.
  • Coordinate with Manning offices to establish a sustainable activity calendar.
  • Ensure the creation of a company training matrix that complies with both internal needs and external regulations.
  • Work in conjunction with the Fleet Operations Department and Training Centres to organize and supervise Company training, along with any other required training.
  • Collaborate with external companies to arrange and organize training sessions.
  • Work closely with HR to monitor and enhance the Officers' promotion and new hire process.
  • Contribute to the development of the onboard eLearning Platform.
Job Requirements: Skills, Competencies, Experience
  • Previous experience in a maritime training environment.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Windows-based programs and video editing software.
  • In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations, specifically Solas, Marpol, and STCW.
  • Possess skills in Training Effectiveness.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated abilities in organization and delegation.
  • Forward planning and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Relevant qualification in Crisis Management.
