Are you ready to captain our workforce planning and steer our maritime operations toward success? We are in search of a seasoned Workforce Planning Manager to lead our crew and chart a course for seamless workforce management in the dynamic world of maritime, cruise, and expedition industries.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Workforce Planning Manager, you will be at the helm of critical responsibilities that make our maritime operations thrive:
  • Strategic Planning: Ensure that the workforce plan is meticulously maintained, and budget changes follow the approval process.
  • Customer Service Ethos: Develop and nurture a shared customer service ethos within the rotations function.
  • Crew Management: Guarantee that all rotation plans align with the Crew Repatriation Schedule and are well-documented in our HR Crewing System at least 18 months in advance.
  • Crew Quality: Make sure only fully qualified and compliant crew members are scheduled to join our team.
  • Contingency Planning: Develop comprehensive contingency plans to support both planned and unplanned events that could impact onboard manning.
  • Crew Welfare: Ensure the well-being of crew members who are disembarked for unforeseen reasons.
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with the logistics coordinator to ensure the delivery of requirements for new builds and dry docks.
  • Training and Development: Map, coordinate, and implement courses and training programs in collaboration with suppliers, ships, and onshore operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with crewing agencies, talent acquisition, and the onboarding team to maintain a workforce that meets business demands, mitigating risks as necessary.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain current knowledge of immigration and maritime rules and regulations, briefing team members where needed.
  • Data Management: Ensure efficient use of the HR crewing system to maintain accurate and up-to-date data through regular housekeeping exercises.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and enhance the rotations experience to ensure consistency across the crewing function, identify opportunities for service improvement, and reduce costs.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate effective influence, impact, and decision-making while challenging the status quo.
  • Team Development: Support the People and Culture team in delivering the company's Employee Value Proposition.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Collaborate with fleet stakeholders to build a trusted service and provide workforce plan/rotation-related reports and KPI progress to ensure service transparency.
  • Emergency Support: Participate in on-call out-of-hours emergency phone support on a rotational basis to ensure 24/7 support for our fleet.
  • Project Support: Assist in various projects as requested.
  • Team Management: Manage the day-to-day performance of the team, provide guidance, conduct one-on-one meetings and appraisals, and drive high levels of team engagement.
  • Succession Planning: Identify training needs and formulate development plans for direct reports while ensuring succession planning and risk mitigation within the team.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant areas.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manpower/scheduling planning.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the maritime/cruise/expedition industries.
  • Experience in managing dynamic high-volume operations.
  • Proficiency in forecasting and managing budgets.
  • Proven experience in leading high-performing teams.
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of worldwide immigration regulations.
  • Experience working with multinational offices.
  • Familiarity with crewing system OCS (Offshore and Crewing System).
