Responsibilities:
  
  • Oversee and manage the crewing operations department, ensuring efficient and effective crew management for the company's fleet.
  • Develop crewing strategies and policies to optimise crew performance, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, such as HR, Finance, and Fleet Operations, to align crewing objectives with the company's overall goals.
  • Implement crewing-related processes and systems to streamline operations and enhance crewing efficiency.
  • Lead and supervise a team of crewing professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and support as needed.
  • Foster strong relationships with seafarers, crewing agencies, and relevant industry bodies to attract and retain qualified and competent crew members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in crewing operations.
  
Requirements:
  
  • Extensive experience in crewing operations as Crewing director or similar with experience leading teams of 90+, along with a proven track record of managing crewing activities for a large fleet.
  • Strong knowledge of international crewing regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to address crewing-related challenges and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proactive and results-oriented approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
