Job Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the marine, offshore, and shipbuilding sectors to drive revenue growth.
- Develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with key clients, brokers, agents, and industry stakeholders to enhance market presence.
- Draft, review, and negotiate shipbuilding contracts, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and risk management considerations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, including milestone payments, variation orders, and claims management.
- Lead the preparation of competitive, accurate, and timely tenders, quotations, and commercial proposals, ensuring they meet client specifications and project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering, planning, and procurement teams to validate cost structures, lead times, and technical solutions during the tendering phase.
- Ensure a smooth and structured handover from the sales and tendering phase to the project execution team, supporting the transition with clear documentation and expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in marine engineering, Naval Architecture, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in business development, tendering, or commercial roles within the marine, offshore, or shipbuilding industries.
- Strong understanding of shipbuilding processes, contract terms, and commercial frameworks.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to prepare accurate tenders and cost estimates.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams including engineering, planning, and procurement.
