Job Description


Be part of our leading global marine insurance team, dedicated to delivering exceptional service and support to our members. You will oversee a wide range of P&I claims, including those of greater difficulty and complexity, ensuring their management from notification through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the validity of claims in accordance with P&I Rules and member terms.
  • Organize and maintain accurate records, reports, Claims Summary Documents, and Estimate Reviews (ESRs).
  • Promptly acknowledge receipt of claims and handle inquiries, ensuring consistent communication with members.
  • Manage claims efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with the Loss Prevention Department regarding claims, member reviews, and vessel and crew performance evaluations.
  • Engage the FD&D Department as necessary in pertinent cases.
  • Alert the Underwriting Department to any identified unusual risks.
  • Assume ownership of additional projects and initiatives within the P&I department, including involvement in Sector and Expertise Groups, training, team development, and nurturing member relationships.
Essential/Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience in maritime claims, preferably P&I.
  • Degree in Law or equivalent (e.g., Master Mariners Certificate).
  • Proficient in IT, including MS Office, with adaptability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, adept at communication in diverse cultural settings, both verbally and in writing.
  • Flexible availability to meet the needs of clients and colleagues across different geographical sectors.
