Job Description

We're seeking a dynamic Claims Assistant to efficiently manage a diverse range of claims and provide exceptional service to our clients. As part of our team, you'll contribute significantly to our commitment to excellence in the marine insurance industry.
  • Handle various claims for owners and members in adherence to club policies, ensuring swift and cost-effective resolutions.
  • Foster strong relationships with members, assureds, and brokers, delivering exceptional service at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with claims and underwriting colleagues, as well as Loss Prevention, within the sector.
  • Assist in audits and peer reviews, contributing to the enhancement of claims handling processes.
  • Support the Sector in creating and sustaining a high-performing team environment, while liaising with enabling functions.
Essential Requirements:
  • Basic understanding of shipping terms and operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite with adaptability to new technologies.
  • Strong administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities, capable of managing demanding workloads.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to accommodate client needs and collaborate across geographical sectors.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of claims matters and P&I rules.
  • Background in law, technical expertise in maritime operations, or relevant Maritime industry experience.
